Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use VextCAD, which includes this website, the portal, the API, the MCP server and the design assistant. In these terms, “we” means VextCAD, the operator of the service. By using any of them you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

• VextCAD builds CAD and mesh parts from a written description and checks them against stated requirements.
• The service is in early access. We may change, limit or stop any part of it at any time, and we do not promise that it will always be available.

Your account

• Keep your sign-in and API keys private. You are responsible for what is done with them. Tell us if you think one has been misused.

What you may not do

• Design or make weapons, weapon parts, or anything meant to hurt people.
• Break the law or infringe other people's rights.
• Get around limits, access other people's data, or disrupt the service.
• Use the design assistant for anything other than designing parts.
• We may refuse requests, remove content, and suspend accounts that break these rules.

The design assistant

• The assistant uses third-party AI models. The messages, files and designs you give it are sent to the model provider, currently Anthropic, to generate results. You must also follow the provider's usage policy.
• The assistant is not offered to people located in, or organizations based in, places the provider does not support. These include mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
• AI output can be wrong. The assistant may misstate a dimension or miss a design problem, so check what it tells you.

Ingot

• Ingot is the unit the design assistant and builds use. It has no cash value, cannot be transferred or refunded, and may be changed or withdrawn.
• Each mailbox can receive one signup gift, and invite rewards are only for real new users. We may withdraw Ingot obtained through duplicate accounts or other abuse.
• Ingot used by a step or build that fails, stops or does not give the result you wanted is not returned.
• Ingot from the signup gift and invite rewards expires one month after it is given. Other Ingot does not expire unless we say so when we give it. Ingot that expires soonest is used first, and expired Ingot is not returned.

Results are not certified

• RELEASE, or “checks passed”, means only that the requirements written for that build passed. It is not a print or engineering certification, and it does not show that a part is safe, strong or fit for your purpose.
• You are responsible for checking every part before you make or use it. Do not use a part where failure could injure someone or cause serious damage unless a qualified person has checked it independently.

Your content

• You keep your rights in what you submit, and we claim no ownership of the parts you generate. Others may generate similar parts. You must have the right to submit what you submit.
• You let us store and process your content to run the service, including sending it to the model provider named above. We do not use your content to train AI models.
• Design assistant conversations and build files are removed about 30 days after they were last updated, and uploaded files after about 1 day. An image you attach stays with its conversation. Backups may last a little longer. We may read a conversation when we need to investigate abuse or answer a support request.

No warranty and limited liability

• The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
• To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss caused by parts you make or use. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not let us limit.

Ending and changes

• You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or to protect the service.
• We may update these terms. The new version appears on this page with a new date, and using the service after that means you accept it.

Governing law and contact

• These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
